Brief Break in the Rains Made for an
Enjoyable Campout
It may have been cool and slightly overcast, but the weekend
of February 20, 21 & 22 stayed dry. This coupled with our generous
first-time wagon masters made for a lovely campout. On top of everything else
all fourteen of our rigs had a beautiful view of the snowcapped mountains to
the west.
As usual the potluck dinner Friday night was full of variety.
Then practically the whole rest of the weekend our wagon masters, Gary &
Darlene Covington and Jim & Judy Wismer, kept us fat and happy. They
surprised us with a nice breakfast Saturday morning (not just the advertised
continental), with Pizza Saturday night and a great big breakfast Sunday
morning.
Dogs
and kids entertained each other. Our leisure time was filled with the usual 10
cent games and a friend of Jim Rebensdorf even brought by some wood for a nice
fire Saturday night. Thankfully there was a store near buy with enough Budweiser
for Gene. Oh and Mary Moore wasnt there so Louie was able to win the 50/50
drawing.
