MEMBERSHIP IS UP

Yup, thanks to many of you we had a fantastic membership gain this past year. We initiated or reinstated 147 American citizens into the Fullerton Elks Lodge this year. Coupled with our record low Lapsation (members lost), there are many more friends to meet with and enjoy up at the lodge.

Many of you will be receiving Grand Exalted Ruler pins for sponsoring 3 or more members. Then there are two people who really went to bat for us. Our lodge Secretary, Bob Ziebell picked up a few of his 14 members by just answering the phone and our Top Recruiter, long time friend of the lodge, Jack Bosna went out and recruited 11 members into our order. Both of these gentlemen will be receiving Grand Lodge watches for their hard work.

All of you have my sincere gratitude for a job well done. Thank you for making our first year at the New Fullerton Elks Lodge a successful one.

Now we begin a new year. One that might not be as easy to recruit too, now that all the “new building” hype has worn off. None the less we must continue to gain in membership, because we still lose a few no matter what we do. We do have an exciting new corps of officers (no more PERs), with many new event ideas to help you accomplish this.

We will have a new tool for you shortly. A pocket size information card with most of our events and committees on it, to help answer the questions; “who are the Elks? And what do they do?” The PERs are sponsoring it and it should be rolled out in the next month or so.
