Our teenager of the Month for August, 2011, is Jourdin Kugel. She is 17, believes in God, accepts the nomination, and is committed to a 100% drug free lifestyle. She makes good grades, loves history, is a Batallion commander for JROTC and likes Disneyland. She is the daughter of Jeff and Stephanie. She has been nominated by her Grandfather, member Dennis Hathaway.

Our Teenager of the Month for February, 2011, is Zachary Rock Tombol.
On February 10, 2011 our lodge hosted Zachary as our Teenager of the Month. Zach is an amazing 16 year old Sophomore who attends Servite High School. He plays football and competes in Discus and Shot put. When I asked Zach what would he do if he had a day to do whatever he wanted, he said he would hang out with his Mom, Debbie. Awesome!!!

As our Teenager of the Month, Zach accepted the nomination and is a teen committed to a drug free lifestyle while believing in God. He is also the grandson of our Exalted Ruler and our First Lady.

If you would like to nominate a teen for Teenager of the Month, please let me know. I encourage you to nominate family members, neighbors or co-workers who are between 13-19, believe in God, committed to a 100% drug free lifestyle and are well rounded or need the Elks to show them we care.

Our Teenager of the Month for September (2010) was Andrew Holmes, grandson of member Nancy Borowski. He is a fine young man whom the Elks are well proud of.

We hosted Andrew and his family to an excellent meal. At our meeting, after honoring, him we presented him with gift certificates from Salon Diego (714-223-2055) of Yorba Linda for a free haircut, Lakeview Cafe (714-572-8521) in Placentia for a great meal, Esther's Taco House (714-996-2397) of Placentia and Yorba Linda for lunch or dinner, and Sunday Brunch from our very own Fullerton Elks Lodge Sunday Brunch (second Sunday of the month) for a delicious brunch. Exactly what a teenager needs, a haircut and food.

Thank you to all of them for their generous donations. Please support them each and every time you have an opportunity as they support our lodge.

Please remember that you may sponsor a teenager for this honor. The requirements are that they must be a teenager, accept the nomination, believe in God and be committed to a 100% drug free lifestyle. Just let me know.
